Assessment & Evaluation Policy

At Adisha Public School, our Assessment and Evaluation Policy ensures that student learning is measured fairly and consistently. We use two types of assessments: formative and summative. Formative assessments happen throughout the learning process and include quizzes, class participation, homework, and teacher observations. These help us understand where students need more support and guide our teaching methods. Summative assessments, like exams, projects, presentations, and standardized tests, are given at the end of units or terms to measure how well students have met learning goals. Our evaluation process is clear and transparent, with students knowing the criteria and what is expected of them in advance. Teachers use rubrics and standard grading scales to ensure fairness. We also emphasize self-assessment and peer assessment, helping students reflect on their learning and develop critical thinking skills. Peer assessments encourage collaborative learning and constructive feedback. Regular parent-teacher conferences keep parents informed and involved in their child’s education, and report cards are issued periodically to provide a comprehensive overview of student performance, including strengths, areas for improvement, and personalized feedback. Overall, our policy aims to support student growth, provide meaningful feedback, and ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
